Delta Force attacks bad PR for NPP – Freddie Blay

Acting National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Freddie Blay has condemned Thursday’s raid on a Kumasi Circuit Court by members of the Delta Force, saying the unfortunate development is giving the party public relations nightmares.

Members of the delta force stormed the court and freed their colleagues who were due for remand after attacking the Ashanti Regional Security Coordinator .

The government has come under a barrage of criticisms following the attacks. Civil society including the Ghana Bar Association have called on the president to disband all vigilante groups before the worst happens.

Mr. Blay said the party is embarrassed by the actions of the Delta Force, saying persons who flout the law must be sanctioned.

Speaking on Accra based Asempa FM Friday , he said “ they [Delta Force] are not kids…they have done the unthinkable and it has brought embarrassment to the party .It is a bad PR for us,” he angrily said.
