Deliverance Assemblies of God Church organizes free health screening exercise

Deliverance Assemblies of God Church at Pig Farm in Accra, on Saturday organized a free health screening exercise for the people within the Pig Farm community.

The exercise was to sensitize them on their health conditions to ensure that they live a healthy life to enable them to go about their daily activities.

The programme was on the theme: “Celebrating 30 years of God’s Faithfulness”.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Rev. Dr Delali Bodza, Senior Pastor of the Church, said the exercise formed part of the 30th anniversary celebration of the church.

He said the cases screened ranged from hypertension, diabetes, skin disorders, oral health problems and malaria whist surgical conditions were referred for appropriate management.

Rev. Bodza said the outreach was expected to help the team to know the disease burden of the people within the catchment area in order to make the necessary interventions.

He urged the people in the community to take very good care of their health by eating healthy meals and exercise regularly to prevent them from falling ill.

He expressed gratitude to Tobinco Pharmaceuticals Limited, Osaons Chemists Limited and Promasidor Ghana Limited for their sponsorship towards the heath screening.
