Delay in outdooring Ningo chief disturbing peace – Asafoatse

Nene Asafoatse Odoi III of the Ningo Traditional Area, said the delay in outdooring Nene Addo Huago IV as the Paramount Chief of the area is disturbing the peace and development of the area.

“We are, therefore, appealing to the government to immediately intervene before the unexpected happens,” he said.

Nene Odoi made the call in an interaction with the press at Ningo during the Homowo Festival after the Loweh Kpono Clan had boycotted the sprinkling of the traditional meal (Kpokpoi) by the Mankralo, Nene Kanor Atiapa III, and some elders in the area.

He said the Loweh Kpone people were peace loving, and for the past years had involved themselves in the activities of the festival but this year they had refused to take part because of the failure by the elders to outdoor Nene Huago who is from the Loweh Kpono Clan.

Nene Odoi said Nene Huago, a professional teacher, was duly nominated, selected and installed in 2011 after the death of Nene Narh Osragbo II.
