Defence Minister implores security agencies to remain impartial

Ho, Oct. 24, GNA – Mr Albert Kan-Dapaah, Minister of Defence, has implored security agencies to exude total impartiality in their duties during the coming elections in order to give credence to the results. He said security personnel should show professionalism in handling any difficult situations they might face during those times. Mr Kan-Dapaah made these remarks when he paid a courtesy call on Mr Kofi Dzamesi, Volta Regional Minister ahead of a visit to Volta Barracks in Ho to inaugurate a refurbished Medical Reception Station (MRS) for the 66 Artillery Regiment.

He reiterated that it was the desire of every well-meaning Ghanaian to see the elections proceed in peace. Mr Dapaah lauded the cooperation between the troops and the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC).

Mr Dzamesi also lauded the military for maintaining peace in the Region and pledged the VRCC continued support for its operations. 24 Oct 08
