Deceased legon student had psychological challenges – Legon Police Command discloses

The Legon Police District Commander, DSP Ofori Anokye, has exclusively revealed to GhanaWeb that the final year student who died by falling from the the fourth floor of her Akuafo residence had some psychological and academic challenges according to the parents.

Jennifer Nyarko, 23, a final year student studying consumer science is confirmed dead by the Legon Hospital after falling from the fourth floor of her Akuafo Hall residence according to the Legon Police District Command.

‘We spoke to the person she called last night which was a female friend of hers, She told us She(the deceased) only called last night to tell her she needed a pastor to pray for her urgently and ended the call’

‘We spoke to the Parents and the confirmed that their daughter had some chronic psychological issues and she was been treated by the one Doctor from Valley View University. They also said she was not doing well academically, but they didn’t expect her to do that as they had spoken to her just last night to encouraged her.’

DSP Ofori Anokye, asserted investigation to ascertain whether she jumped or was pushed is still ongoing, but our checks reveals that her remotes have been relocated to another room.
