The beheaded body of a man, whose name has been given as Kobina Ackon, has been found on the railway at Nkotompo, a suburb of Sekondi.
Visibly shocked residents have ruled out a train accident, claiming the mutilated body suggests it was dumped there by some killers.
Our correspondent says the incident – which occurred Wednesday morning – has left many residents bewildered.
TV3’s Ebenezer Kwame Abakah says the police have since come for the body for autopsy.
The police were conducted around the scene by Assembly member of the area, Anthony Ephraim, who confirmed the age of the deceased as 75.
