Winneba(C/R) April 9, GNA-Two persons died, one on the spot and the other later on admission at the Winneba Government hospital when a Benz Bus with registration No. AS 2862 P on which they travelling collided with an Articulator truck near Gomoa Potsin on Monday night.
One of dead has been identified as only Madam Ama from Gomoa Dominase while the other, a male is yet to be identified. Ten others, whose names were not known, but received various degree of injury, are on admission at the Winneba Government Hospital under critical conditions.
The Winneba District Police Commander, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Jordan Quaye told the Ghana News Agency on Tuesday that the articulator truck loaded with bags of rice from Accra, was heading towards Cape Coast, while the Benz Bus was from Assin Foso to Accra. ASP Quaye said the two drivers and two children of Madam Ama, aged between 4 and 7, who died in the accident, were among those receiving treatment at the hospital.
According to the police the bodies have been deposited at the mortuary of the Winneba Hospital for autopsy and appealed to the public to help identify the other body. 9 April 08
