Dead body found at Techiman Central Market

The body of an unidentified young man within his 30s, suspected to have been lynched has been found at the Techiman Central Market.

Police Chief Superintendent Joseph Antwi Gyau, Techiman Police Commander told the Ghana News Agency that an FM radio station in the municipality alerted the police about the body, which was lying prostrate at the market.

He said the police quickly rushed to the scene and found out that the body had violent marks and several cuts while broken bottles and a heavy hammer were lying behind it.

Chief Supt Gyau said the body has since been deposited at the Holy Family Hospital morgue awaiting identification.

The municipal commander said the police suspected foul play and appealed to the public to assist in the investigation.**
