DCE, two others injured in accident

Abidjan-Nkwanta (Ash), Sept 30, GNA- Mr Bright Addai-Mununkum, the Bosomtwe-Atwima-Kwanwoma District Chief Executive (DCE), his wife, their two-and-a-half year-old child, and a cousin of the DCE were involved in accident on Saturday when a taxi crashed into a vehicle on which they were travelling at Abidjan-Nkwanta near Jachie in Ashanti. The DCE’s was injured on the left foot while his wife sustained serious injuries. The driver of the taxi had two fractures on the left leg.

They were all rushed to the Pramso Saint Michael’s Catholic Hospital where his wife and the taxi driver whose conditions were critical, were referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi.

The DCE, his son and his cousin were treated and discharged at the Pramso hospital.

The Jachie police when contacted confirmed the accident and said investigations were being conducted into the matter.
