DCE solves the sale of water from a borehole

Adanwomase (Ash), May 13, GNA- Alhaji Kwasi Yeboah, Kwabre District Chief Executive on Tuesday facilitated the resolution of a dispute over the sale of water at Adanwomase from a borehole. They have therefore pegged a bucket of water from the borehole at 100 cedis.

The dispute over the sale of water in the town had been with the people for the past 25 years. While a faction of the people opposed the sale of water because it would put the people in financial difficulties, the Krontihene and Nkosuohene supported the idea of selling the water to raise funds for development.

To put the issue to rest once and for all, Alhaji Yeboah called for a vote on the issue and 435 people voted for the sale of the water while 364 voted against it. Speaking after the voting, the DCE advised the people to let the issue rest once and for all for the sake of peace and stability in the town.
