DCE raises security concerns over misunderstanding between Sissala, Dagaaba

Gwollu, UWR, Dec. 22, GNA – Mr. Robert Bakah Wavei, Sissala West District Chief Executive has expressed concern about a lingereing misunderstanding between the Sissalas in the Buwa Traditional Area and Dagaaba in Fielmua.

He said about a week ago, he received a copied letter from the Acting President of the Buwa Traditional Council requesting the Regional Police Commander to restrain the Fielmua Area Development Association from celebrating their annual Kukur Bagr Festival.

He advised the Sissala and the Dagaaba to resort to the laid down channels of dispute resolution to resolve their differences and not to do anything to disturb the peace in the district and the Region.

Mr. Wavei was addressing members of the Sissala District Assembly at its third ordinary meeting at Gwollu on Wednesday and appealed to the conscience of stakeholders in the Buwa Area to give peace a chance.
