DCE lauds peace in district

Mr Dominic Yeboah, Adansi East District Chief Executive (DCE), has commended the chiefs and people in the area for making the district free from chieftaincy disputes.

He said it was only in an atmosphere of peace that the modest development that had taken place in the district since its creation in 1989 could be sustained.

Mr Yeboah was addressing the 46th Independence anniversary parade at New Edubiase on Thursday.

He said President John Agyekum Kufuor and the NPP government stood for forgiveness, reconciliation and peace and therefore, appealed to Ghanaians to learn to forgive and forget the past and reconcile for national development.

Mr Yeboah said since the district was young, there was the need for support to develop it and called for interventions from Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and gave the assurance that any organisation, which decided to move to the district would receive the co-operation and assistance from the assembly.
