DCE gets the nod

Sogakope,(V/R), June 23, GNA – Ms Kate Aglah, 55, was on Thursday retained as District Chief Executive (DCE) of the South-Tongu District. She polled 43 votes, with eight against, representing 84 per cent of votes cast.

Mr. Kofi Dzamesi, Volta Regional Minister, who described her as a hardworking woman, urged her to galvanize the people to speed up the development of district. He urged the assembly members to sustain support for the DCE as shown in the massive approval of her nomination by collaborating with her in formulating and implementing workable policies for the good of the district.

Mr. Kenneth Dzirasah, Member of Parliament (MP) of the Area advised assembly members against backbiting and undermining each. Before the elections, seven new government appointees to the assembly were sworn in to replace those whose tenure had ended.
