DCE donate roofing sheets Training Institute

Fawohoyeden (B/A), April 30, GNA – Mr George Yaw Boakye, Asunafo District Chief Executive, has donated 12 packets of roofing sheets to the Youth Leadership Training Institute at Fawohoyeden in the district. He announced the donation while cutting the sod to commission a 45-million cedi four-unit teachers’ quarters constructed by the institute with the students providing labour.

Mr Boakye warned the students against deviant behaviour, which he said did not promote academic excellence.

He pledged the Assembly’s support for the school’s development and urged individuals and organisations to also assist the school. The Principal, Mr Stephen Atuahene, commended the Assembly and the Fawohoyeden Traditional Council for their contribution to the development of the Institute.

He announced that the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports had presented 10 hand sewing machines and assorted tools and equipment worth more than 15 million cedis to the institute.

Mr Atuahene commended the Ministry for the gesture and said the equipment would help the school to produce qualified artisans.

The Presiding Member of the Asunafo District Assembly and Chief of Fawohoyeden, Nana Boakye Dankwah, thanked the donors for their gesture and urged the school to ensure maximum utilisation of the items.
