DCE denies neglecting Mankranso in development

Mankranso (Ash), June 27, GNA – Mr. Kwaku Obeng Boateng, Ahafo-Ano South District Chief Executive, has said it was not true that he had neglected the development of Mankranso, the district capital. He said, for instance, the district hospital is being provided with amenities such as a theatre as part of its expansion. A new dormitory had been built for the Secondary/Technical School and quarters for the police and nurses have also been constructed at Mankranso.

Mr Boateng said this when he addressed the Zongo community during the inauguration of a 120 million-cedi biogas toilet for the community at the weekend. He said the assembly had budgeted 1.7 billion cedis for the provision of facilities at Bronikrom, Dwenewoho, Sikafrebogya, Asempaneye and Attakrom, all in the Mankranso area council. ”There is, therefore, no iota of truth in the accusation that I have developed other communities to the neglect of Mankranso.”

Mr Boateng said Mankranso, Sabronum and Dwinyama would be provided with school blocks, electricity, and potable water this year. Mr S.K. Yeboah, chairman of the Mankranso Area Council, appealed to the assembly to help extend electricity to all parts of the town.
