Bulengna (UW), Dec. 15, GNA – Mr Godfrey Bayong Tangu, Wa Municipal Chief Executive, has been unanimously declared as the Wa East Constituency Parliamentary candidate of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The Wa East NPP executive declared Mr Tangu at Bulengna in the Wa District where they also welcomed 30 members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who had defected to the NPP.

Also among the defectors who presented themselves at the ceremony was Madam Olivia T. Tangu, Convention Peoples Party (CPP) parliamentary candidate in the 2000 election, who attributed her defection to the good development policies adopted by the NPP government.
