DCE commends security personnel for ensuring peaceful elections

New Edubiase (Ash), Dec 20, GNA – The Adansi South District Assembly has commended security personnel detailed to the district during the elections for their contribution in ensuring peace and stability before, during and after the presidential and parliamentary elections.

The assembly also commended the electorate for co-operating with the security personnel to sustain peace in the area. Mr Dominic Kwaku Yeboah, the District Chief Executive, made the commendation when he spoke to the Ghana News Agency at New Edubiase at the weekend.

He said the security personnel showed high sense of professionalism and maturity in their work that enabled the electorate to cast their votes without any fear of intimidation.

Mr Yeboah called on the people to bury their political differences now that the elections are over and live as one people to bring peace and development to the district.

He said every community would have its fair share of development projects and called on the people to be patient.

Mr Yeboah said extension of electricity to some communities would be completed on schedule and called on the communities to provide communal labour.
