DCE commends out-going Education Director

Tarkwa (W/R), July 20, GNA – Mr Emmanuel Ayensu, Wassa West District Chief Executive, has commended Nana Osei Nketiah, the out-going District Director of Education for helping to raise educational standards in the area.

He made the commendation at a send-off party organised by the District Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES) for Nana Nketiah at Tarkwa at the weekend.

Nana Nketiah who served as the Wassa West District Director of Education for eight years has been transferred to the Shama-Ahanta East Metropolis as the Metropolitan Director of Education.

Mr Ayensu said Nana Nketiah kept teachers on their toes through effective supervision and advised him to be tactful in the performance of his duties.

Nana Kwadu Kyerefo III, Tufuhene of Wassa Fiase Traditional Area and Chief of Sekyere Heman, used the occasion to appeal to the people to support the Education Endowment Fund of the area.

Nana Nketiah thanked the staff of the District Directorate of Education for honouring him and asked them to unite and work hard to improve education in the area.
