DCE commends GES for introducing the In-In-Out programme

Kumasi, July 11, GNA – Mr. Thomas Ofori-Donkor, Atwima-Nwabiagya District Chief Executive, has commended the Ghana Education Service (GES) for introducing the In-In-Out programme in Teacher Training Colleges in the country.

He said the programme had improved teaching and learning in some basic schools in the rural areas.

Under the programme, final-year trainees are posted to some rural communities to teach for a year before completing their three-year training course.

Mr Ofori-Donkor made the commendation when addressing the third graduation of Saint Louis Training College in Kumasi.

He explained that before the introduction of the programme, Atwima-Nwabiagya District had problems with posting of teachers to the district but now there had been an improvement.

The DCE said the assembly was constructing hostels for teacher-trainees posted to the district to support the programme. He commended teacher-trainees posted to the district under the programme for their comportment and dedication to duty.
