DCE calls for co-operation between chiefs, assembly members

Kyerepoaso (Ash), Jan 24, GNA- Mr Yaw Ahenkora Afrifa, Ejisu-Juaben District Chief Executive, has called on chiefs in three communities in the district to co-operate with their assembly members and unit committees to ensure peace, unity and stability in the area. He said without these it would be very difficult to initiate any development projects.

Mr Afrifa was speaking at separate durbars during a tour of three communities, Kyerepoaso, Krofrom and Abesewase as part of his familiarisation tour of the district on Thursday.

The DCE reminded them that the electrification project was a self-help project and as such, they should help themselves for the assembly to support them.

Mr Afrifa also reminded them of the need to join the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and said those who had as yet not registered should do so in their own interest.

The chiefs conveyed the gratitude of their people to the DCE for visiting them and commended his efforts at bringing electricity to their communities.
