DCE assures communities of projects

Odumase (B/A), Feb 10, GNA – Mr. Osei Asibey, the Sunyani West District Chief Executive, has assured communities in the district of equitable distribution of development projects. Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in an interview at Odumasi, Mr. Asibey appealed to communities to recognise and appreciate self help projects as important to speed up development. He said communities that would undertake self help projects would get assistance and support from the district assembly and other development partners.

Mr. Henry Boateng, the District Engineer, told the GNA that the assembly had completed all projects started by the previous government. He said the assembly is also building a six-unit classroom block for Kobedi AMA Zion Primary School, 40 lockable stores and 40 stalls at Nsoatre market and street lights. Mr Boateng said a community library and resource centre had been completed at Odumase whilst the assembly had also completed the re-surfacing of the 3.5 kilometre Chiraa/Asokwaa road. 10 Feb 10
