DCE asked communities to help sustain development projects

Boamang (Ash), Aug 12, GNA – Mr Kwaku Oppong-Kyekyeku Kaakyire, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Afigya-Kwabre, has asked that the people developed a sense of ownership for development projects provided in their communities and help to keep them in good shape.

He said this is the only way the projects would be sustained.

Mr Oppong-Kyekyeku said this when he received the keys to a GH¢108,000.00 six classroom block with an office and store, staff common room, library and washrooms, built for the Boamang primary school.

The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) provided the money for the construction of the project.

Mr Oppong-Kyekyeku said with the completion of the project the school children and teachers would now have enough classroom space for effective academic work.

He called on the community to ensure a strict maintenance regime to keep it in good condition at all times.

The DCE commended the contractors 93Hemkock Construction” for good job done.
