DCE appeals to teachers to be upright

Kpetoe (V/R), Aug. 24, GNA – Mr Michael Komla Adzaho, Adaklu Anyigbe District Chief Executive (DCE), has appealed to teachers to refrain from acts that would tarnish the reputation of the profession.

Mr Adzaho said this at the opening of a five-day in-service training for 36 Community Education Teaching Assistants at Kpetoe in the Adaklu Anyigbe District.

He said they were selected among a lot and appealed to them to be role models in the communities in which they would be posted.

Mr Alfred Odikro, Coordinator of Adaklu Anyigbe District National Youth Employment Programme (NYEP), reminded them that they were not permanent teachers and that they would be exited after two years.

He said they should use the period to study hard to better their grades to enter tertiary institutions.
