David Annan calls for stiffer punishment against K.T. Hammond

A legal practitioner, Lawyer David Annan is calling on the Speaker of Parliament, Edward Doe Adjaho to invoke stiffer punishment against Member of Parliament for Adansi Asokwa, K.T. Hammond, for verbally assaulting Majority Leader, Dr. Benjamin Kunbuor.

According to the legal practitioner, the conduct of K.T. Hammond amounted to criminal contempt of parliamentary proceedings; hence a legal action must be taken against him.

Lawyer David Annan wants the speaker of parliament, Edward Doe Adjaho to invoke article 116 and 122 of the 1992 constitution to sanction Mr K.T. Hammond.

The floor of parliament was turned into a playground of insults when the Adansi Asokwa MP rained insults on Dr. Benjamin Kunbuor who addressed the issue of corruption among politicians in the country.

He said the issue of corruption among politicians has been confirmed by the drill ship and Woyome placards on the floor of parliament.

This among others did not go do down well with KT Hammond who described the Majority Leader’s action as disgraceful, foolish and stupid.
