Databank Refunds ?5.4 Billion To SSNIT

Databank Financial Service Company has paid off in full, SSNIT’s 55 per cent stake in the Obotan Developers Project.

A cheque of ?5.4 billion representing SSNIT’s total equity (55%) in the Obotan Developers Project, was issued to the management of the SSNIT last Friday.

A source which disclosed this information, yesterday, explained that Databanks’ decision to pay back SSNIT’s investment in Obotan, was influenced by the adverse media publications which imputed malfeasance to Ken Ofori-Atta and Keli Gadzekpo, two senior executives of the company in promoting the project.
