Danquah’s killing scary; we’re all not safe – Anyidoho

A Deputy General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho has called on the security agencies to fight the wave of hitmen attacks in the country.

Anyidoho made the call in the wake of the murder of the Abuakwa North MP, Joseph Boakye Danquah Adu on Tuesday, February 9.

The lawmaker was murdered in cold blood at his Shiashi residence Tuesday dawn when unknown assailants broke into his bedroom and stabbed him to death.

Reports say the incidence could be a case of contract killing.

Speaking on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.3 FM, Anyidoho said the spate of contract killing in the country is alarming insisting the trend puts everybody at risk in the country.

“It’s about our collective security as a nation” the Deputy scribe of the ruling NDC government reiterated.

He expressed shock about the gruesome murder of the MP whom he described as a decent politician, wondering why anybody would put out a contract for his murder.

“JB is not the everyday politician; I hardly heard him attacking anyone in the political space. He was just minding his business and doing his constituency work, and I believe that is why his people voted for him again in the primaries.

“But I remain hopeful that the IGP and his officers at the headquarters will give us some relief by going to the bottom of this matter and apprehend the killer.”
