Danquah now a ghost; stop voting for NPP – Nketia urges Akyems

The General Secretary of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has advised Akyems to change their voting pattern and stop voting for the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) as they didn’t benefit from developmental projects while that party was in power.

He said Danquah and Busia, who were from Akyem and Brong Ahafo respectively are now ghosts therefore electorates should not follow ghosts who founded the NPP to continuously vote for the party.

The NDC Chief Scribe made the comments while addressing supporters of the party after an official commissioning of a market facility at Abirem constituency in the ER on Monday as part of President John Mahama’s campaign tour of the Eastern Region.

He said the Akyem area will continue to see massive development under the Mahama-led administration if the people repose confidence in the president and vote for him come December 7 election.

Our ancestors joined a group, but they are dead and gone… they are now ghost, why should we also follow or join that group whether it is doing something right or not. We people of the Brong Ahafo Region, have turned away from such behavior, we need someone who will help us, that is why people we vote massively for NDC. We beg you, our ancestor, Danquah is long dead, he could have possibly had a change of mind and joined the NDC because of the massive development seen under John Mahama. You people never met Danquah, or did see him while alive, but you are being lied to, using the name of a ghost, because Danquah was from this area, you continue to follow him who’s now a ghost, we Brong Ahafo people have seen what John Mahama is doing and we’re backing him.
