Danish association presents items to school

Adukrom-Akuapem, June 08, GNA – Danish Association for International Co-operation (DAIC), on Thursday donated items including 50 computers and accessories worth 10,000 dollars to authorities of Adukrom Senior Secondary Technical School.

The donation, which was made possible through the efforts of a Ghanaian resident in Denmark, Mr Kwame Danquah a citizen of Akropong-Akuapem, included bunk beds, mattresses, electric piano, furniture and orthopaedic equipment.

Receiving the items, Headmaster of the School, Mr Kwame Yeboah-Odame, expressed appreciation to the association for their generosity to help improve academic and social conditions of the school. He said to improve on school-community relations the orthopaedic equipment would be donated to the Adukrom Health Centre. Mr Yeboah-Odame said the school already had 35 computers and with the additional supply, it would enable it expand its computer centre and open it to the public.

He appealed to well wishers of the school to help rehabilitate the metal and woodwork workshops now in deplorable condition.
