Danfa residents cry for help

Residents of Danfa, in the Greater Accra region have appealed to the Ghana Police Service to help ensure security in their area and its environs.

This follows the recent attack on some residents in their various homes by people suspected to be armed robbers.

Danfa is one of the fastest developing communities in Accra surrounded by equal growing communities such as Oyibi, Kweim and Oyarifa.

And that situation, the residents noted, had attracted many estate developers creating an impression that people living there are rich.

However, the worrying residents said, the only police post in the area is situated at Ayi Mensah, far away from the above-mentioned communities.

“It is very bad to have only one police station serving several communities over a large perimeter and that is why the robbers have a field day to operate,” Kweku, a resident of the area, complained.

The presence of the police, the residents said, would go a long way to help them.

“Now we can hardly have a sound sleep as we have to make sure that we are safe in the night,” another resident, Mr. Addo, said.
