Dan Botwe: I Blame Frank Agyekum

The former Minister for Communications in the NPP administration and a Member of Parliament for Okere Constituency, Hon. Dan Botwe has blamed the spokesperson for ex-President Kufuor, Mr. Frank Agyekum for not doing justice to the Ga Dangbe youth’s action against ex-president Kufuor.

In an interview with Peace FM, Botwe said Agyekum did not properly answer the questions during his interview with the media regarding ex-president Kufuor’s acquisition of office premise.

He said Agyekum’s answer gave the impression that the ex-president had actually bought the house, whereas he had not since it is only a state property for use as his office. He said it was not compulsory for Agyekum to speak to the media if he was not prepared because clearly he had no knowledge about the issue he was going to talk about.

The Ga Dangbe youth, led by Herbert Nii Akai Nettey, yesterday served eviction notice to Kufuor, asking him to vacate with immediate effect from the office premise at Ridge in Accra and wait for the implementation of the controversial Chinery-Hesse Committee’s report.

In an interview earlier with PeaceFM, Nettey said they would picket at the property till the ex-president vacated.
