Dambai Training College project to be completed by December

Accra, May 21, GNA – Construction works underway at the Dambai Training College are to be given priority for completion by the end of the year. The works include the construction of a six-unit classroom, a library block and a six-seater water closet. These projects, which form part of an up-grading programme of the 38 Teacher Training Colleges, when completed would enable the construction of either a dining hall or Administration Block to be carried out next year, depending on the choice of the College. Prof. Dominic Fobih, Minister of Education for Education, Science and Sports announced these on Wednesady when answering questions on the floor of the House.

The answer was in response to a question from Mr Wisdom Gidisu, (NDC-Krachi East) on whether the Ministry would provide an Administration Block for College to replace the existing old wooden structure.

Prof. Fobih announced also that construction work on a two-storey classroom at Three Town Senior Secondary School in the Ketu South constituency is expected to be completed in 2009 in line with the Ministry’s policy of completing ongong projects. He said an Assembly Hall project would be considered when new projects are to be listed for inclusion in the 2010 investment policy.
