Dagbon Kingdom mourns with President Mahama

Kampakuya-Na Andani Yakubu Abdulai, Regent of Dagbon Kingdom, has expressed his condolence to President John Dramani Mahama and the bereaved family on the death of his mother, Hajia Abiba Nnaba.

This was in a statement issued on behalf of the Regent and signed by Mr Issah Mahmudu, a Lawyer, copied to the Ghana News Agency in Tamale at the weekend.

The statement said: “The news of our beloved mother’s death on 14th June, 2016, was received with much pain, shock and grief in Dagbon.

“Her untimely death is a great loss to her family, Gonjaland, Dagbon, northern Ghana and Ghana as a whole”.

It said: “The chiefs and people of Dagbon are mourning with you in this difficult period of grief and sorrow”.

The statement said Hajia Nnaba led a full and fulfilled life worthy of celebrating adding; “we are grateful to Allah for the gift of her life and her contribution to humanity”.

The Regent of Dagbon Kingdom prayed for the entire bereaved family and President Mahama to have the strength to endure the pain of losing a very special and loved person as our dear mother”.

Hajia Nnaba was 85 years and was buried in accordance with the Islamic custom at her hometown at Busunu in the West Gonja District of the Northern Region.
