Dagbon Consultative Congress warns NPP

The Dagbon Consultative Congress (DCC) on Tuesday cautioned the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) against displaying ethic sentimentality and disrespect towards President John Dramani Mahama and his government.

In a statement signed by Sheikh S. M. Siibidow and Alfa Ibrahim Salifu Jemoni, President and General Secretary respectively, and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra, DCC reminded the NPP that President Mahama was duly elected in the December polls and must be accorded the full respect.

The DCC called on the leadership of the NPP “to pause, rethink and steer clear of actions and inactions with the potential of disrupting peace and national cohesion, as well as dent the image of Ghana within the international community”.
