Dadzie to represent Western Region on Council of State

Takoradi, Feb. 24, GNA – Mr George Kofi Dadzie, a 55-year-old operations manager of Federated Commodities Limited, a cocoa buying company, was on Tuesday elected unanimously to represent Western Region on the Council of State.

He polled all the 34 votes to beat four other contestants. Mr. Kwabena Asante, a 59 year old social commentator withdrew just before the ballots were cast.

The other contestants were Madam Georgina Bus Kwofie, 64, a retired educationist, Mr. William Kojoe Thompson, 80, a retired administrator, Mr Edward Ansah Bartey, 70, a retired administrator, and Mr Francis Mensah, 69, a retired teacher.

Mr. Steve Opoku-Mensah, Western Regional Director, of the Electoral Commission, conducted the elections and announced the unanimous decision after the voting.
