Dadekotopon MP presents sets of furniture to school

Accra, Aug. 06, GNA – Fifty sets of furniture, worth about 16 million cedis from the Common Fund of the Dadekotopon Member of Parliament was last Friday presented to the Saint Paul’s Anglican Basic ‘2’ Primary and JSS in La, Accra.

The furniture mainly dual-desks, were presented following the school’s formal request to the MP, Nii Amasah Namoale. Nii Namoale advised the school authorities to take good care of the desks to enable more pupils and students benefit from it. He said the culture of maintenance for the school’s properties was very important to cutting down administrative expenses, adding that, discipline should be instilled in the children to desist from vandalizing school property.

The MP advised the school to consider adopting a Ghanaian or African print design as part of its uniform for the children, saying, education was dear to the constituency. Ms Juliana Amugi, the Headmistress of the school received the furniture and thanked the MP for his kind gesture and promised to take good care of them. 06 Aug. 06
