Daddy Lumba’s one-week observance to be held at Legon Sports Stadium

The family of legendary Ghanaian Highlife musician, Daddy Lumba, has announced that his one-week observation will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at the University of Ghana (Legon) Sports Stadium.

The solemn event is expected to draw friends, family, fellow musicians, industry stakeholders, and fans from across the country to pay tribute to the iconic musician whose career spanned decades and left an indelible mark on Ghana’s music scene.

The official announcement was made by DL FM, Daddy Lumba’s own radio station, through a post on its Facebook page, informing fans and the general public about the upcoming event.

Daddy Lumba, celebrated for his soulful voice, captivating stage presence, and chart-topping songs, remains one of Ghana’s most influential musicians. His contributions to the Highlife genre have inspired generations and will continue to resonate for years to come.

The family has extended an open invitation to all well-wishers to join them at the Legon Sports Stadium for the observation ceremony.
