Daasebre Oti Boateng endorses Mahama

The New Juaben Traditional Council in the Eastern region has thrown its support and endorsement to the second term bid of President John Dramani Mahama.

The Krontihene of New Juaben ,Baffuor Tutu Nyantakyi Boateng ,who spoke on behalf of the Omanhene, Daasebre Prof Emeritus Oti Boateng, stated categorically stated that “We the chiefs in New Juaben as well as the entire new Juaben Traditional area are solidly behind you in your bid to win the elections to enable you get the opportunity to continue your good works to ensuring that development is brought to the doorsteps of the people of Ghana. You have visited us on November 1, so I want to you to read Deuteronomy 1:3 and Deuteronomy 1:8.”

He however appealed to the President being the Commander-in- Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces, to ensure peace before, during and after the December polls “to enable Ghana nurture its young democracy “to enhance development.

He urged politicians to refrain from beating war drums at the least opportunity as it depends tension.

The Krontihene said this on Tuesday when President John Mahama and his entourage paid a courtesy call on the Traditional Council as he rounded up his six days tour of the region.

The Traditional Council had earlier commended President Mahama for providing the New Juaben Municipality with its share of development.

The Council further appealed to President Mahama to elevate New Juaben Municipality to a metropolitan status during his second term.
