Cuba, Ghana Sign Joint Health Project

Havana, Apr 5 (Prensa Latina) Ghana and Cuba, represented by Ghana’s Minister of Health Major Courage and Cuban LABIOFAM director Jose Fraga, signed a joint project to develop biolarvicide products against such diseases as malaria.

Visiting Ghana Foreign Minister Nana Akufo-Addo told Prensa Latina that the whole African continent will benefit from this agreement.

He also ratified his government’s interest in building a plant in Ghana to develop LABIOFAM products to be used in all African countries.

Fraga described the project as very important, particularly in the framework of preparations for the 14th Summit of Non-Aligned Countries to be held in Havana in September.

This can be a platform to increase aid to all African countries, where such serious illnesses are main killers.
