CTO Chairman meets foreign minister

Accra, March 25, GNA – Mr Anthony De Bono, Chairman of Council of the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation, (CTO) has held discussions with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo while on a brief stop-over in London.

The discussions centred on issues relating o the activities of the CTO and its forthcoming Conference in Cameroon, according to a statement issued by the Ghana High Commission in London.

They also discussed issues on the operations and governance of the International Telecommunications Union.

Among those present at the meeting were Mr. Isaac Osei, Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK, Mr. Ekwow Spio-Gabrah, Chief Executive Officer of CTO and Mr Adolphus Arthur, Deputy High Commissioner. Mr. Bono praised Mr. Spio-Garbrah for giving “good visibility” to the CTO since his appointment as Chief Executive.

Mr Akufo-Addo said he had noted with satisfaction the good work being done by the CTO, which, he said, augured well for the development of telecommunications in the Commonwealth.
