CSSPS to start placement exercise

The Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced preparations for this year’s school selection and placement exercise.

A statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the GES, Rev. Jonathan Bettey, on behalf of the Director General, said: “As part of the preparations, parents and guardians of Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates have the opportunity to confirm their four (4) choices of schools and programmes made prior to the selection and placement exercise in September.”

It added: “This arrangement is done to avoid the situation where some candidates and parents deny knowledge of the schools they have chosen after selection and placement are done by the CSSPS.”

“To display the schools selected during the BECE registration, text ONLY your ten (10) digit index number to short code 1060 to any of the following networks: Vodafone, MTN, Airtel, and Tigo,” the statement said, and further urged all students to contact their head teachers in case of any disparity.
