Creation of a “Garden of Fame”

Sunyani (B/A), Feb. 17, GNA – Nana Anto Boadi, the Brong Ahafo regional Chairman of the Democratic Freedom Party, has suggested the creation of a “Garden of Fame” to honour illustrious sons and daughters of the region, either dead or alive, to mark the 50th anniversary celebration of the creation of the region on April 4 this year. In a statement, the regional chairman noted that the region celebrated its 28th and 40th anniversaries under the administration of Colonel Alex Antwi, then Regional Commissioner and Mr Donald Asabre, former Regional Minister respectively.

“The celebration will expose the true culture and tradition of the people and will seek to unify the citizens for development”, he stated. Nana Antoh appealed to the regional co-ordinating council to liaise with the Regional House of Chiefs and other relevant bodies in the region to seriously plan towards the 50th anniversary celebration.
