CR NPP Women congratulate President

Mankessim, Dec 31, GNA – The Central Regional Women’s Wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has congratulated President J A Kufuor, Vice President Alhaji Aliu Mahama and NPP Members of Parliament-elect on their victory in the December 7 2004 general elections.

Addressing a news conference at Mankessim on Thursday, Miss Gladys Addobea-Nyinaku, Regional Women Organiser, also expressed their best wishes especially to the women MPs-elect and assured them of their support to enable them to live up to expectation.

She pointed out that the NPP swept the seats in the region because of the good policies initiated by the government to resuscitate the economy.

The NPP Women’s Organiser said the electorate voted according to their conscience and stated that people who were not satisfied with the voting pattern in the region to leave the people in peace. She assured President Kufuor that women in the region were solidly behind him and expressed the hope that the second term of the NPP in office would bring progress in their living conditions.
