Accra, Jan. 3, GNA – Seven out of the 10 Regional Youth Organisers of Convention People’s Party (CPP) on Tuesday pledged their unflagging support for the leadership and renewed their commitment for the party.
“Youth of the CPP re-affirm their unequivocal support to the Chairperson’s on-going efforts to restore discipline, cohesion and confidence to the Party.
“We therefore wish to distance ourselves from any statement from the National Youth Organiser, Mr Murtala Mohammed claiming that CPP Youth have threatened to leave the party in the wake of Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom’s resignation.
“We urge the general public to treat his comments purporting to speak on behalf of the Youth Wing and the Youth of the CPP with a pinch of salt,” the seven Youth Leaders stated in a statement signed and copied to the Ghan’
