CPP will win 2016 elections hands down – Nana Nketia

Nana Gabby Nsiah Nketia, running mate to the flagbearer of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP), Mr. Ivor Kobina Greenstreet has envisaged that the party will win the 2016 general elections hands down.

Nana Nketia who was selected as the CPP running mate few days ago, anticipated that there wouldn’t be a run-off because the party will win one touch to the surprise of Ghanaians.

Speaking on Abusua FM’s Abusua Nkommo hosted by Kwame Adinkrah, he said the CPP will take the country by storm, saying Ghanaians are fade up with the two main political parties.

He indicated that he is poised to work assiduously for the party to win the elections, saying majority of Ghanaians are now defecting to CPP because of his U-turn from New Patriotic Party (NPP) to CPP.

‘Let me remind you that President Hilla Limann used two and half months to win the elections, if Ivor and I join forces together by working hard, we will pull a surprise by winning the elections, there wouldn’t be any second run, because CPP will win the elections, even if there is a run-off, party executives will take the decision as to which party to support,’ he expressed hope.

The former Ambassador to South Korea believes the CPP flagbearer has potentials, hence his decision to join forces with him to unseat the Mahama led National Democratic Congress (NDC) government.

According to him, politics of division does not augur well for nation building.

‘It boils down to personality, I couldn’t refuse Ivor’s offer when he called me, I believe he can do it if voted into power to lead the nation, besides Kofi Annan has being advising us (Ghanaians) to practice politics of inclusion, and do away with our party colours, I am ready to help my country whenever I am approached,’ he explained.

He encouraged electorate to digest manifestoes of political parties and vote on issues than voting on tribal lines.

He promised to introduce apprenticeship in the various schools when the CPP wins power.
