Adaklu-Waya (V/R), July 5 GNA – Mr Vincent Norgbedzi, Volta Regional Organiser of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) says the Party would contest all the 22 constituencies in the Region since it was not interested in forging electoral alliance with any political party.
Mr Norgbedzi, who was speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) during the Ho-East Constituency Congress of the CPP at Adaklu-Waya at the weekend, said it was wrong for some members of the Party to publicly declare their support for other Presidential candidates other than Mr George Aggudey, the Party’s Flag Bearer.
He Norgbedzi said Ghana’s fledgling economy called for public intervention especially in the agricultural sector where private capital alone was inadequate to transform it.
Mr Paul Nuwordu, Regional Youth Organiser of CPP, said the new Party Manifesto would propose socio-economic directions, adding: “We shall pick and use what is good in socialism and what is good in private capital led economies, and marry them to transform Ghana’s economy.”
