CPP: Ramadan should usher Ghanaians into sober reflection

Accra, Oct. 20, GNA – The Convention People’s Party (CPP) on Wednesday expressed the hope that this year’s Ramadan would usher the country into a period of sober reflection of what the people need to do as one people with a common destiny. “We need a collective effort to overcome the state of despondency arising out of the harsh economic conditions with little hope for a lasting solution,” the CPP said in a message to Ghanaians on Ramadan. The message signed by Nii Noi Dowuona, General Secretary, read: “In the midst of helplessness and hopelessness, continual faith in Allah forms the bedrock for renewal of hope in the future and salvation of mankind.”

The CPP said it believes this year’s fasting would serve as a catalyst for the attainment of the collective objective for a violence-free general election.
