CPP Not Attractive – Freddie Blay

The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Freddie Blay says the CPP does not look attractive to win the next presidential elections. “I don’t that 2004 is our year, but miracles do happen, though I don’t believe in them”, he said.

Mr Freddie Blay who made this known in an interview with the ‘Evening News’ said the party had not really prepared for the elections. He contended that what the party needed was a strong, organised and attractive party mainly for the youth.

“What is more important is re-organise the party and this is an opportunity to come out with officers who will ensure that our party is re-organised and is attractive mainly for the youth so that come the future, maybe this great tradition may take over the mantle”, he added.

Mr Blay who is the CPP Member of Parliament for Elembelle noted that the youth’s contribution towards democracy was also prime on the party’s agenda. “Ghana is for all of us and not for just one political party”, he added.
