CPP holds regional executive meeting

The Greater Accra Regional Branch of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) held its bi-annual Regional Committee meeting at the party’s headquarters in Accra.

The purpose of the meeting was to brief members of the party on details of the party’s National Chairman’s Organisation structure and the role of constituency executives in the organisation structure area and polling station branches.

This was contained in a statement signed by B.W Appiah, First Regional Vice-Chairman of the Party and copied to the Ghana News Agency.

It said Dr Nii Gborbilor Fleischer, the acting Regional Chairman of the Party outlined the frame work of the programme and appealed to members to pursue it with vigour and enthusiasm for its successful implementation as the party is determined to operate from the grassroots.

It said members congratulated Comrade Amadu Moses Yahaya for his tenacity and perseverance that won him the Kumbungu Parliamentary seat for the party.

The statement said the meeting took cognizance of the united effort of the Nkrumahist front that prevailed during the Kumbungu by-election recently and culminated in victory for the party.
