CPP has been good to me – Samia

A flag bearer aspirant of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP), Samia Nkrumah is grateful to the party for how ‘generous’ it has been to her over the years.

According to Samia, she so much appreciates the tremendous love and respect accorded her by the CPP.

Samia, who is the only daughter of the founder of the great Convention Peoples Party and first President of Ghana , Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah burst onto the political scene first contesting and emerging as the party’s Parliamentary Candidate for the Jomoro constituency.

She eventually won in the 2008 Parliamentary election to be the representative of the good people of Jomoro in the august House of Parliament.

After losing in the 2012 election, she contested for the Chairperson slot of the party which she won convincingly.

She has now decided to step up her political ambitions a notch higher and is feverishly campaigning to become the CPP’s Presidential Candidate in the upcoming November election.

Speaking to Bola Ray on Starr Chart, Samia Nkrumah expressed her confidence in winning the party’s Presidential candidate race and going on to emerge as Ghana’s first female president.

She promised to make good use of the opportunity given her by the CPP.

“The CPP has been good to me. The party has always believed that I’m sincere in serving the course. The party has given me some invaluable opportunity to serve and has listened to me. In so many sense I believe that the CPP has looked after me, and I’m grateful.”
