CPP elects parliamentary candidate for Builsa North

Sandema(UE), May 16, GNA- Mr Dominic Davinus Atibil, a 60 year old Banker was on Friday elected by popular acclamation as the Convention People Party’s CPP) parliamentary candidate for Builsa South. The election was conducted by the Electoral Commission and supervised by the Party’s Regional Executive.

Mr Atibil thanked the delegates for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to turn the fortune of the party around to enable it to capture the Builsa South constituency. He said he would focus on Agriculture and ensure that many dams were provided and also de-silt existing ones for farming all year round. He said he would also encourage the people in his constituency to embark on animal rearing and tree planting and also ensure equal opportunities for all to have access to education. Mr Ramson Dahazaaya Yinbil, Regional Chairman of the Party entreated the executives and supporters to work hard to ensure that the party captured power in the 2008 election. He expressed his optimism that the party stood a good chance of winning the upcoming election if they all work hard. 16 May. 08
